Kitchen Organization Tips You Should Know

Levis4Floors By Levis4Floors | January 20, 2022

If you do a lot of cooking, entertaining and working in the kitchen then you’ll need to learn how to ensure that things run smoothly. That’s why implementing key organization tips can make completing tasks in your kitchen much easier. Here are some tips from the experts.

Keep Tools Within Reach
When setting up your kitchen make sure you keep your pots, pans and other cooking tools within reach. You can store your pots and pans in a drawer beneath the stove. Additional tools should be in a drawer adjacent. Frequently used food seasoning can be held in the cabinet over the stove so that you can easily grab them while you’re cooking.

Keep the Pantry Stocked
There’s nothing worse than going into the pantry for something you need to complete a recipe and you don’t have it. Keep a backup of every item you tend to use frequently in the pantry and once you use it put it on your grocery list to place when you go food shopping for the week.

Label Everything
Having a well-organized pantry is essential so that you’ll be able to find things when you need it. Use glass jars to hold some of your food items and apply a label to them. This is especially ideal if you tend to purchase things in bulk. Be sure you put the larger jars towards the back and the short ones in the front so that you can clearly see what you have. This will also help you see when you’re close to being out of an ingredient.

Sort and Gather

Use baskets and containers to organize foods by category. For example, if you make Grandma’s meatloaf of a regular basis, keep all of the pantry ingredients for this recipe together so that when you look in that section, you can quickly see what items you need to have the ingredients for that dish on hand.

Use All White Dishes
While dishware with bold colors and patterns are fun, all white dishware are versatile. You can use them when entertaining guests because they compliment any color scheme and they’re also ideal for casual use.

Organization is Key
Of course, is organization is key when creating an efficient kitchen. Here are the tips:
– Organize eating utensils by use
– Hang up mugs on a hanging rack
– Use wicker baskets to store extra items
– Expand cabinet space by using organizers with adjustable dividers within them
– Use double-duty containers that can work as function as serving dishes but allow you to also store
food items in the space.

Add a Design Element

If you enjoy cooking and entertaining, then you spend a lot of time in the kitchen and pantry. Why not make the space fun and beautiful. If you have a walk in pantry, add a fun area rug and some art to the walls. Art ideas could include framed recipes, vintage kitchen ads or kitchen conversion signs.

Don’t forget the backsplash!
