How to Throw The Ultimate Halloween Bash

By | September 27, 2018

October is right around the corner, and that means scary movies, delicious candy, festive costumes, and pumpkin patches. If you are a lover of fall, you may have already thought about throwing a Halloween party. But if you need more of a push, here are a couple reasons why you may consider having a Halloween get-together:

 1. Parties give you a reason to hang out with all of your favorite people.

 2. Halloween allows people to let loose and dress up in character costumes.

 3. It is the least stressful holiday-themed party you can throw.

 4. We have the perfect tips to make your party a success! Let’s take a look.

How to Throw a Halloween Party

  1. Encourage People to Dress Up. On your invitation, you want to make it clear that people should wear a costume. Even though it seems pretty apparent that you would dress up for Halloween party, some friends may not get the memo. Be sure to include the “dress up” clause to lessen any potential confusion. Also, tell your friends that a costume contest will take place and the winner of the competition will get a prize! This will spark some pre-party excitement and get guests excited about preparing their costume.
  2. Make It Kid-Friendly. If you want more of your friends to say “yes” to your invite, make your party a kid-friendly event. Tell your friends that they are more than welcome to bring their kiddos for a spooky night of fun. Just have some kid activities for the little ones to do like watching a Halloween movie, carving/painting pumpkins, or mini Halloween games.
  3. Decorate to Impress. Make sure not to forget the fun Halloween decorations! Any dollar store can be a great place for inexpensive, last-minute decor ideas. Also, do not forget to decorate your outdoor area because the party begins as soon as people arrive.
  4. Goodie Bags. No matter what age you are, you can appreciate a good bag of candy on Halloween. Be sure to pass out candy-filled goodie bags for your guests to take home.
  5. Themed Food Items. Have your food dress up for Halloween by decorating spooky cookies and use food coloring to make your food festive. For Halloween-themed food ideas, be sure to check back next week for our blog post: Spooky Halloween Dishes.

We hope that you and your loved ones have a happy and safe Halloween!
